Terms and Conditions for Je T'aime

Welcome to Je T'aime.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Je T'aime mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What Je T'aime is
Je T'aime is a private couples app. It lets two people who choose to connect (a "couple") share questions, conversations, voice and text answers, dates, surprises, and other content with each other. The Service is intended for personal, non-commercial use.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Je T'aime. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
3. Accounts and authentication
You sign in with a supported third-party identity provider (e.g. Google). You are responsible for keeping the account associated with that provider secure. You are responsible for everything that happens through your account.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the text, voice notes, photos, answers, and other content you submit ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you and your partner. We do not sell Your Content and we do not use it to train third-party AI models.
5. Partner sharing
Anything you post inside a shared space is visible to your linked partner. If you disconnect from a partner, content that was shared with them may remain visible to them in their own copy of the Service unless deletion is requested.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- send unlawful, harassing, threatening, hateful, or sexually exploitative content;
- upload content involving anyone under 18, or content you do not have the right to share;
- attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service;
- share another person's private information without consent;
- use the Service for commercial purposes, automated abuse, or to harm others.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
7. AI features
Je T'aime offers optional AI-assisted features (for example, date suggestions). AI output is generated automatically, may be inaccurate, and is provided for inspiration only. You are responsible for any decisions you make based on AI output.
8. Audio and media
Voice messages are limited in duration and file size. Media you upload is stored on our infrastructure for delivery to your partner. We may compress or transcode media to make it work on your devices.
9. Push notifications
If you enable notifications, we send you alerts about activity in your shared spaces. You can turn them off in your device settings at any time.
10. Service changes and availability
We may add, change, or remove features, and we may pause or end the Service. We try to avoid breaking things, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that the Service will be free of bugs.
11. Account deletion
You can request account deletion at any time by emailing bauerstevenson@gmail.com from the email on your account, or by following the steps at /delete-account. We will erase your account and associated content within a reasonable period after verification, except where retention is required by law.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Je T'aime and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill arising out of or related to the Service.
14. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that we reasonably believe is harmful.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of your place of habitual residence to the extent required by local consumer protection laws, and otherwise by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
16. Updates to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you in-app or by email. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
